Andrew Baggott is Clarke Nicklin’s Managing Partner, having been so since 2004 when he acquired the firm. Prior to this, he gained many years’ experience at one of the top four UK firms and a large corporate finance led independent practice.
He specialises in delivering strategic business planning advice to business owners and entrepreneurs so they can achieve the best results possible for their endeavours and maximise returns. Andrew also heads up the Corporate Finance team who undertake a complete range of transactions for clients.
Brian Bradley – Partner
Brian Bradley joined Clarke Nicklin in 1987 and became partner in 2010, he is a relationship partner at Clarke Nicklin, heading up the relationship with a portfolio of clients. He has over 25 years’ experience in providing pro-active advice to a diverse portfolio of small and medium enterprises.
Graham Travis - Partner
Graham Travis is a partner at Clarke Nicklin and joined the business in 2010. Graham has attained a wealth of experience in accountancy having worked for international and independent practices prior to Clarke Nicklin. He specialises in audit and business advisory services.
Paul Draper - Tax Partner
Paul Draper joined Clarke Nicklin in 2010. Throughout his career he has specialised in tax and has previously trained with Arthur Anderson, KPMG and RSM Tenon. Since 2010 he has focussed on advising private clients, entrepreneurs and family businesses of all types and sizes on strategic planning and tax saving measures. Paul’s advice covers all areas of taxation, with his vast experience including transactional tax, income extraction, property tax, and R&D tax credits and patent box.
Paul Mellor - Partner
Paul joined Clarke Nicklin in 2004, and became partner in 2011. He is relationship partner specialising in owner managed businesses from start-ups, family businesses and larger businesses. He ensures clients receive the best advice on business structure, tax savings, and evolving the business as it grows.
Paul is also training partner at Clarke Nicklin, overseeing the training and development of accountancy students training within the business.
Scott Herbert is a partner at Clarke Nicklin Financial Planning, joining the business in 2005.
Scott has worked in financial services for over 25 years, working for a number of large banks and insurance companies.
As head of the financial planning team, Scott is responsible for the relationship and advise to private and corporate clients, and overseeing the team in overall service delivery. Clients include small and medium enterprises plus a stock market listed company, as well as high profile clients including investment bankers and high net worth individuals.

Tony Jakara is tax partner at Clarke Nicklin. He joined the firm in 2001, having gained substantial tax experience prior to that with several other regional practices.
Tony oversees the efficient running of the tax compliance function of the business, and provides expertise in tax enquiries and investigations covering both personal and corporate tax.

Gareth Jones - Director
Gareth Jones is Director at Clarke Nicklin and joined the business as a graduate having completed his degree in finance management. He has completed his accountancy qualification with Clarke Nicklin and developed through the ranks to director where he manages a team and also a portfolio of clients specialising in owner managed businesses and start up’s.
Kerry joined the business as a graduate back in 2005, she has trained with Clarke Nicklin and is a fully qualified chartered accountant with over 15 years’ experience in accounts and audit. Kerry manages an audit team and day to day liaison on with clients.

Laura Frost is the Marketing and Business Development Manager for Clarke Nicklin and manages the marketing function for the business, she is also responsible for organising the Stockport Business Awards which is an annual awards dinner held each October to celebrate businesses within the community. Simon Timmins - Manager
Simon is Manager at Clarke Nicklin and joined the business as a graduate in 2010 having completed his degree in finance management. He has completed his accountancy qualification with Clarke Nicklin and developed through the ranks to manager where he manages a team and also manages the outsourced management side of the business.
Michelle Middlemas - Payroll Manager
Michelle is payroll manager at Clarke Nicklin, she joined the business back in 2003 and manages clients payroll requirements from SME’s to larger entities.
Claire Challinor – Manager
Claire, who started working at Clarke Nicklin after she finished Aquinas college as a trainee, has been with the company for nearly thirteen years. She is ACA qualified and has built up her own client base – working with many clients that range from small business start-ups, family-run businesses and also larger businesses.
Claire is on-hand to help with year-end accounts, VAT returns and managements, as well as providing training on various computer software packages.
